Talent calculators

Every class in Forever keeps its three vanilla-named trees, but the trees themselves were revamped, with milestones at 11, 21 and 31 points plus a new 16-point milestone. That means every Classic build you remember is wrong, and the only way to plan is a calculator that reads the Forever client. There are four worth using. This page says which is which, how the guild shares builds, and the one thing nobody has confirmed yet: what a Wowhead build link actually looks like.

How the trees are laid out

From the beta client export, rows map to point thresholds like this: row 3 is the 11-point talent, row 4 the 16-point, row 5 the 21-point, row 7 the 31-point. The 16-point milestone is a single-point talent you take with your 16th point in that tree. verified (beta client data via talentsforever). When two calculators disagree about which row is “the 16-point tier”, the client export wins.

Beta data, not launch data

Everything above reads beta build 1.60.1 (69876 through 69977 as of the class research). The beta cap is 20, rising to 30. verified Two consequences:

  1. Level 60 builds are theorycraft. Nobody has played one. Every 31-point capstone comparison on a guide site is tooltip reading.
  2. Talents move between builds. Example: Protection Warrior’s Vitality was removed in the first beta build, but several level 60 guides still spend five points in it. A build without a date and build number is a build you cannot trust. verified

Dual spec exists in Forever, so a wrong build at 60 costs a respec, not a reroll. Details on each class page.

  1. Build it on Wowhead (or talentsforever if you want the open data) and copy the URL the site puts in your address bar. Do not type or edit the URL by hand.
  2. Paste it in the tavern or the Beta reports thread with four things: class and spec, level it targets, the date, and the beta build number (shown on talentsforever’s builds page). Example shape: Prot Warrior 60, 2026-09-24, beta 69977: <link>.
  3. Say what it is for: leveling, dungeon, raid, PvP. Point totals alone (31/20/0) are fine as a shorthand next to the link, not instead of it.
  4. If you are correcting someone else’s build, quote the talent that changed and link the foreverchanges or talentsforever changelog entry.

Builds the guild adopts as reference go on the class page for that class: Warrior, Paladin, Hunter, Rogue, Priest, Shaman, Mage, Warlock, Druid.

URL pattern caveat

The research could not find a single example Wowhead Forever build link on any loaded page, because the site is JavaScript-only. By Wowhead’s Classic convention the pattern is expected to be:

https://www.wowhead.com/forever/talent-calc/<class>/<tree1digits>-<tree2digits>-<tree3digits>

That is an inference. unverified The guild bot validates pasted links loosely, only checking that they start with https://www.wowhead.com/forever/talent-calc/ followed by one of the nine class names and something after it. If a link you paste gets rejected or renders an empty tree, say so in the tavern; it means the pattern changed and this page needs an update.

Gear planners

Wowhead has a Forever gear planner at /forever/gear-planner, seen by title only. unverified Sixtyupgrades Forever support is unverified. Every “Forever BiS list” found elsewhere said “data pending” and is vapor until the raids open on December 9. See the raids overview for how the guild approaches BiS.

  • The exact Wowhead Forever build URL format.
  • Whether talents keep changing after the beta ends on October 21 and before November 4.
  • Whether the beta export matches the launch client for levels 31 to 60.
  • Whether the Wowhead gear planner is populated with Forever items.
  • Sixtyupgrades Forever support.
