Tailoring

Tailoring makes the two things every character in the guild needs in week one: bags and cloth gear for the casters. Forever adds 180 patterns, dyed colored variants, a couple of Merchant’s Favor bags, and the Faction Banner camp buff. It also needs far more Wool Cloth than vanilla did, which is the single most useful fact on this page for a launch-week shopper.

Cloth armor, bags, shirts, and Forever’s colored variants using new dyes (Magenta, Cerulean, Viridian). 180 new patterns per foreverchanges, 186 per zockify, 68 on the Merchant’s Favor vendor. verified for the counts and the “couple of bags” at the trade camp; the dye names come from a search snippet. unverified

Mages, Priests, Warlocks. Everyone wants bags. The guild plan: three tailors, all casters, making bags for the whole guild first, then cloth sets.

  • Bags first, always. Every 8-slot Woolen Bag will sell in week one, and the guild’s own alts need them.
  • Disenchant the leveling crafts you cannot sell. That is why Tailoring pairs with Enchanting.
  • Post cloth in 20s (the stack size a bolt craft uses in multiples).
  • Bartering (Legacy) discounts thread and dye, which add up over 300 points. See Legacy.
  • The guild wants three tailors, no more. Tailoring gives no gathering income, so a tailor is someone the guild feeds cloth to. See Guild supply chain.
