Guild supply chain
This is the plan for making every raid consumable in-house, having every camp object at the dungeon door, and never depending on one person. It assumes a 30-person guild; scale the counts by 0.7 for 20 or 1.3 for 40. Nobody is forced into a profession they hate, but the quotas below are what a 20-player Hyjal Summit night actually consumes, so the gaps get filled by volunteers with a mat stipend.
Design goals
Section titled “Design goals”Every raid consumable made in-house. Every camp object available at the dungeon door. No single point of failure (at least two people per crafting profession). No one forced into a profession they hate. Professions claimed by how much someone plays, not by what their class “should” take. See Professions overview for the pairing table by class.
Quotas for a 30-person guild
Section titled “Quotas for a 30-person guild”| Role | Count | Who | Delivers |
|---|---|---|---|
| Alchemists (Herbalism + Alchemy) | 4 | 2 healers, 1 caster, 1 hybrid | Mana potions, elixirs, flasks, Arcanite transmutes on cooldown (4 crafters = 4 Arcanite every 2 days), Mana Well and Alchemy Laboratory at camp |
| Herbalists total (including above) | 6 | The raid’s herb supply for Alchemy and First Aid; Incense Candle | |
| Enchanters (Enchanting) | 3 | 2 Tailor/Enchanter casters, 1 anyone | Every raid enchant, neck enchants (Merchant’s Favor, so they need crate hand-ins), relics for druids, paladins and shamans, Arcane Salvager |
| Tailors (Tailoring) | 3 | Casters | Bags for the whole guild first, then cloth sets; Faction Banner |
| Leatherworkers (Skinning + Leatherworking) | 3 | 1 rogue, 1 hunter, 1 druid or shaman | Leather and mail sets, armor kits, quivers, Camp Tent and Tanning Rack |
| Skinners total | 5 | Camp Chair (2% crit is the cheapest raid buff in the game) | |
| Blacksmiths (Mining + Blacksmithing) | 3 | Warriors, paladins | Plate sets, weapons, sharpening stones, Sharpening Wheel and Master Forge |
| Miners total | 6 | Bars for Blacksmithing and Engineering; Lodestone | |
| Engineers (Mining + Engineering) | 2 | 1 hunter, 1 rogue or warrior | Repair Bot, bombs, scopes, ammo, Anarchist’s Workbench |
| Cooks | Everyone; 4 designated at 200+ | Expert Campfires (10 slots), stat food with XP buff, Cookie’s Feast | |
| First Aid | Everyone, 300 | Healing potions (the raid’s supply chain now), tourniquets, poultices, First Aid Kit | |
| Fishers | 3 to 300 | Patient people | Fish Bowl (+8% all stats), Fishing Hut rare fish, Nightfin Soup and Grilled Squid mats |
Why these ratios: a Tailor/Enchanter has no gathering income, so the guild feeds them cloth; at most 3 to 4 of them. Engineering is a gold sink; two is enough because the Repair Bot is one object per camp. Gathering professions place camp buffs too, so six miners is not “six people wasting a slot,” it is six Lodestones.
Raid consumable chain
Section titled “Raid consumable chain”Model: one 20-player Hyjal Summit night. See Raids overview.
| Consumable | Quantity per night | Made by | Chain |
|---|---|---|---|
| Major Healing Potion | 3 to 5 per raider = 60 to 100 | First Aid 275, every raider | Herbs plus Mild / Hot Spices plus vials. The herbalists feed First Aid, not just Alchemy. Each raider crafts their own weekly stack; the bank alt holds spices and vials |
| Major Mana Potion | 5 per healer and caster = ~50 | Four alchemists | Alchemy stays the mana profession verified |
| Elixirs | 1 to 2 per raider | Four alchemists | Grizzly (+25 Str, 2% crit) and Ferocity for melee; Owl and Sages for casters and healers; Fortitude and Phalanx for tanks. Whether vanilla’s battle-plus-guardian stacking rule applies is not published unverified |
| Flasks | Progression nights only | Alchemy 300 | Flask of Supreme Power is confirmed. The Alchemy Laboratory may be required for flasks; if so, a flask night starts with an alchemist placing a Lab at the raid entrance camp unverified |
| Sharpening and weight stones | 1 per melee | Blacksmiths | Dense Sharpening Stone, Dense Weightstone vanilla baseline |
| Wizard and mana oils | 1 per caster and healer | Enchanters | vanilla baseline |
| Armor kits | As gear changes | Leatherworkers | Rugged Armor Kit |
| Stat food | 1 to 2 per raider | Cooks | Role-appropriate stat food; Gourmand and Permanence holders sit first at camp |
| Bandages | 1 stack per raider | First Aid | Heavy Runecloth |
| Enchants | Batched | Enchanters | One Sunday “enchant night” where the three enchanters go down the roster with a bank-alt-funded mat pile |
Weekly rhythm: gatherers mail mats to the bank alt through the week; the bank alt mails spice, vial and herb kits to raiders on Thursday; alchemists post Arcanite on cooldown; enchant night Sunday.
The raid-entrance camp loadout
Section titled “The raid-entrance camp loadout”One Expert Campfire (10 slots, Cooking 200) placed by a designated cook, then nine objects from nine people with nine professions. Full system on Camping.
| Slot | Object | Placed by | Buff |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Fish Bowl | Fisher (20) | +8% all stats |
| 2 | Camp Chair | Skinner (20) | +2% crit |
| 3 | Lodestone | Miner (20) | Melee AP (exclusive with Battle Shout style buffs) |
| 4 | Incense Candle | Herbalist (20) | +Intellect |
| 5 | Faction Banner | Tailor (20) | +Spirit (exclusive with Divine Spirit) |
| 6 | First Aid Kit | Anyone (First Aid 20) | +Stamina |
| 7 | Mana Well | Alchemist (20) | mp5 (exclusive with Blessing of Wisdom) |
| 8 | Repair Bot | Engineer (140, Blueprint) | Reagent vendor and repairs |
| 9 | Enchanted Lute | Enchanter (20) | Armor, all stats, resistances |
| 10 | Open | Sharpening Wheel (blacksmith), Camp Tent (leatherworker), Alchemy Lab or Cookie’s Feast | Situational |
That is nine professions represented, which is exactly why the guild spreads professions instead of stacking Tailor/Enchanters. Buffs last 1 hour, so the camp goes down at the summoning stone at raid start, not in town. Each placer’s objects share a 1-hour cooldown, so the same nine people cannot refresh a second camp until an hour later; assign backups.
Before a 5-person dungeon: a Journeyman Campfire (Cooking 90) with Fish Bowl, Camp Chair, Lodestone or Incense Candle, First Aid Kit, and Camp Tent if leveling.
Who takes what: a fair way to decide
Section titled “Who takes what: a fair way to decide”Post the 12 professions in the Discord professions channel with the quotas above. People claim in order of how much they will play. Fill gaps with volunteers who get a mat stipend from the bank alt. Do not assign by class alone; the person who plays 25 hours a week matters more than the person whose class “should” be a blacksmith.
Quick reference by role:
- Healers: Herbalism + Alchemy (two of them), Tailoring + Enchanting (one).
- Casters: Tailoring + Enchanting (two), Herbalism + Alchemy (one).
- Melee plate: Mining + Blacksmithing (two), Mining + Engineering (one).
- Leather and mail: Skinning + Leatherworking (three).
- Three volunteers to Fishing 300.
- Everyone: First Aid 300, Cooking 90 minimum, Fishing 20.
Track claims in a pinned message or the guild roster on Join the guild. Update it when someone reaches 150, 225 and 300, since those are also Legacy point milestones for the six crafting professions. See Legacy.
How to request a craft in Discord
Section titled “How to request a craft in Discord”Post in the professions channel, one request per message, this shape:
CRAFT REQUESTItem: Elixir of the Grizzly x10Profession: AlchemyFor: <your character>Mats: I have 30 Gromsblood + 10 Blindweed, need 10 Crystal Vials from bankNeeded by: Sunday raidRules:
- Bring your own mats or say what you need from the bank alt. Crafters give their time; the guild gives mats.
- Raid consumables come before personal gear. A crafter with a queue does the raid’s mana potions first.
- No tips required inside the guild. Merchant’s Favor recipes are the exception: the crafter spent crates on that recipe, so hand them a crate or two when you ask for a neck enchant.
- Mark the request done with a reaction when the trade happens so the channel stays readable.
- BoP crafts (Enriched Thorium Breastplate, Officer’s Pauldrons, Devilsaur-style sets if they exist) cannot be requested; only the crafter can wear them. Check the profession page before asking.
Bank alt logistics
Section titled “Bank alt logistics”- One level 1 bank alt parked at the capital AH. Name reserved during the Oct 27 to Nov 3 window with the two-part name marking it as the guild’s. See Launch timeline.
- Capacity: 48 bank slots plus 8 bank bag slots, roughly 176 slots with eight 16-slot bags, plus the reagent bag slot. verified for the slot counts.
- Mail from mains is 30 copper postage. Gatherers mail mats with a subject line naming the profession (“Herbs for First Aid,” “Mithril for BS”).
- The bank alt buys bank bag slots and bags as the guild’s tailors produce them; the first Runecloth Bags go to the bank alt, not the AH.
- Stock list the bank alt always holds: Mild and Hot Spices, Empty / Leaded / Crystal Vials, Coarse / Fine / Silken / Rune Thread, Salt, Weak Flux, Coal. All vendor items, all cheap, all things people forget.
- Crates: Waylaid Supply Crates that a member cannot fill get mailed to the bank alt with the trade in the subject; the bank alt forwards them to the designated crafter of that trade. See Gold and economy.
- Guild bank: community figures say it exists at launch; no Blizzard post confirms it. unverified If it does, the bank alt keeps the overflow and the AH role; the guild bank holds the raid kits.
- Two officers hold the bank alt’s login through the guild’s shared password store, never one. See Guild charter.
Unknown as of 2026-09-24
Section titled “Unknown as of 2026-09-24”- Whether a guild bank exists and what tabs cost.
- Whether flasks need an Alchemy Laboratory at camp.
- Elixir stacking rules.
- Blueprint drop sources for the Repair Bot, Expert Campfire and the tier 3 stations, and whether Blueprints are tradeable.
- Everything about 225 to 300 is client data, not play-tested; adjust quotas after the first two weeks.
