World bosses and reputations

World bosses are a question mark and reputations are a bigger deal than in vanilla. Forever’s faction list has 75 entries with 18 flagged new, and the one that matters most at 60, Guardians of Hyjal, gates the level-60 zone’s rewards. This page separates what is in the data files from what Blizzard has actually said, and tells a semi-casual guild which grinds pay off.

Rare spawns

Forever has 1,000+ new quests and new zones, and nothing specific on rare elites is published. Mount Hyjal has “Darkwhisper Gorge” as a notable subzone. unverified Treat rare hunting as exploration content, not a gearing plan.

New player-facing factions: Guardians of Hyjal, Nightclaw Druids, The Watchers, Cenarion Scouts, Barkskin Burrow, Kirin Tor, Earthen Ring, Brotherhood of the Horse, Bolder’ok Clan, Powderfuse (Steamwheedle Cartel), Theramore Expeditionary Force, Darkspear Raiders, Windshapers, High Order. datamined Most of these have no published rewards; Windshapers and High Order are the Skyborne racial factions.

Advice

Section titled “Advice”
  1. Do the Hyjal questlines with the guild. Rep, zone gear, and everyone learns the way to both raid entrances. Guardians of Hyjal is the only faction whose rewards are tied to the level-60 zone and the raids.
  2. Let Argent Dawn accrue. You are running Scholomance and Stratholme anyway. See Pre-raid gear.
  3. Timbermaw or Thorium only for a crafter who needs a pattern. Check Professions for who needs what. Blackmaw Hold may make Timbermaw free.
  4. Darkspear Islands rep on BG night for alts and trinkets.
  5. Ignore old rep guides’ numbers. Forever changed turn-ins and rewards. The 84,000 figure for Guardians of Hyjal is the datamined Forever value; vanilla rep math for the others is not safe.
