What we do differently

The research behind this site audited what a well-run guild has that a typical friends guild forgets. Forty-two items. Most are small. Each is cheap to do once and expensive to discover the hard way. We turned the audit into a commitments list: what we promise, where it lives on this site or in Discord, and the smallest thing that counts as done. Status is updated at the monthly meeting.

Done means it exists and someone owns it. Before launch means it is due by November 4. Before first raid means due by the raid unlock. Year one means it is on the ladder but not urgent.

  • Item 39 depends on Server Tags being available to the parent server, which the 2026 feature guides describe but which was not verified against Discord’s own documentation.
  • Item 33’s AutoMod AI layer is described in third-party guides only; the keyword rules are the floor regardless.
