Herbalism

Herbalism feeds two professions in Forever, not one: Alchemy for mana potions and elixirs, and First Aid for the raid’s healing potions. That makes it the most important gathering profession for a raiding guild, and the guild plan wants six herbalists. It also places the Incense Candle, a +Intellect camp buff, and at 140 and 300 it grows herbs from seeds.

Nothing crafted; it gathers. The 28 vanilla herbs are all present. New herbs Marefoil and Death Lotus are named in search snippets as recipe mats. unverified Bountiful Harvest describes “Scarce” materials, a new rarity flag on gathering drops, which suggests rarer herb drops alongside the normal ones. verified for the perk text, unverified for how Scarce works in play.

Alchemists, First Aiders (everyone), and anyone who wants a safe launch income. Gathering “sells inputs instead of betting on one crafted market.” verified Default on Druids and the alternative pair for Priests, Mages, Warlocks, Shamans and Holy Paladins. Note that flight form is not in Forever, so Druids have no gathering edge.

  • Take it while leveling even if you plan to craft later. Swap out at 40 to 50 once the guild has mats.
  • Post herbs in 5s. The new elixirs use herbs in 2s, 3s and 4s, so 20-stacks sit unsold.
  • Bountiful Harvest 5 (Legacy) then Working Overtime is the gatherer’s build. See Legacy.
  • Herbalists feed First Aid, not just Alchemy. Every raider crafts their own healing potions, so the guild bank or bank alt stocks the low-tier herbs too. See Guild supply chain.
  • Waylaid Supply Crates ask for gathered bundles by rank; a herbalist fills Apprentice-tier crates cheaply for Merchant’s Favor. See Gold and economy.
