Editions and pricing

Forever has no box price. A normal WoW subscription or game time gets you the whole game except one thing: the Skyborne race and its starting zone. Everything above that is cosmetics, beta access, game time, Warcraft III Reforged, or a statue. This page is every edition with exact contents and USD price so nobody in the guild buys the wrong tier. verified

What a plain subscription gets

Everything except the Skyborne race and Zephras Isle. Forever is included with any WoW subscription or game time; there is no separate purchase and no box. verified

You do not get: early name reservation, beta access, or any of the pack cosmetics. See Names for what missing the reservation window means.

The editions

Blizzard’s pre-purchase post lists contents but not prices. Prices come from the warcraft.wiki.gg pack pages and the Blizzard Gear Store; the Battle.net shop page redirects to a login and could not be loaded. verified contents verified prices via wiki and gear store

Where the items work: mounts, transmog sets, and toys are shared between retail and Forever. Housing decor is retail-only (Forever has no housing). Tabards and the four pets are Forever-only. verified

The Skyborne unlock is per Battle.net account. Nobody needs a pack to raid; see Skyborne for what the race actually gives you.

Beta access rules

  • Window: September 17 to October 21, 2026. Blizzard calls October 21 the “last full day of testing”; Blizzard Watch’s roadmap says October 22, presumably the shutdown day. verified
  • Level cap: 20 at start, rising to 30 “later in beta.” verified
  • Three ways in: (1) free opt-in at worldofwarcraft.blizzard.com/forever gives a chance at an email invite; (2) Epic Pack, Collection, and Collector’s Edition grant immediate access, up to a 30 minute delay; (3) a Server Slam limited open window is promised with details “forthcoming.” verified
  • The Heroic Pack does not include beta. verified
  • Beta client: build 1.60.1.69876 on September 17, 69977 on September 23. unverified
  • Beta characters do not carry over. vanilla baseline for beta norms; Blizzard did not state it either way.

If you have beta, the guild’s ask is to test the addons list and report what breaks.

Collector’s Edition limits and ship dates

  • $150.00.
  • Limit one per household.
  • All sales final.
  • Orders placed before September 24, 2026 ship November 2026. Orders placed on or after September 24 ship February 2027, after launch. The digital code inside (Epic Pack plus Reforged) is what you need on launch day, and the physical ship date does not change when you can play.
  • lfcarry’s “limit 3” is wrong. Search snippets said the US store showed sold out on September 17; as of our load it shows pre-order with a February ship date.

Invite-A-Friend codes

Codes let a friend play Forever November 4 to 11 with no subscription or game time. Distribution begins October 20. Codes do not include beta and are excluded from gift purchases. Heroic gives 1, Epic and above give 3 total. verified See Names for the full rules.

Unknown as of 2026-09-24

  • Whether the Battle.net shop prices differ by region (only USD is confirmed).
  • Whether the Server Slam happens before October 21 and who gets in.
  • Whether the Skyborne unlock will ever be earnable in-game (nothing suggests it).
  • Whether the Collection’s January 11, 2027 cutoff also ends the Reforged bundle or only the pack.
  • Whether pack cosmetics (mount, ensembles) are delivered before launch or on November 4.
